WE HAVE MANY SERVICES TO HELP YOU

Food Plots are just one part of a successful land management program. We also provide consulting services to help you design your property as well as forestry management to maximize your habitat. In addition, we offer dozer and excavating services to create new access, water and food sources as well as agricultural and pelletized lime applications, soil management and weed control.

CONSULTATIONS/HABITAT WORK

We believe that land management allows land owners to enjoy their property 365 days a year. We also believe it is part of our responsibility to offer help to any land owner who is looking for advice and best practices. Throughout the year, we attend shows, write articles, and give talks about our experiences during our many years in business. Please feel free to contact us with questions you might have and watch our website for updates.

DOZER WORK

Many times, the property that we own is not easy to access and does not have the openings needed to plant forage, create watering holes, or build a building on. Dozer work is a one-time investment in your property which increases its usability and total value. Genesis Custom Food Plots owns and operates our own fleet of dozers that we use solely for the purpose of land management and improvement. With a central location, it is possible for us to easily access our entire service area, which makes creating a food plot, pond, or trail extremely affordable.

While working on your project, we always keep land conservation and deer management in mind. Our custom built root rake allows us to create a food plot that is tillable by removing debris above and below the surface while leaving as much topsoil as possible. Overburden and debris is used to the hunter’s advantage by creating funnels and more predictable wildlife travel routes. Ultimately our goal is to provide a minimally invasive service which leaves a new food plot, pond, or trail appealing to not only wildlife, but to you as well. Feel free to contact one of us and discover how affordably we can help you reach your land management goals.

SPRAYING

Food plots are a critical part of a sound land management program. Every time you till the soil and plant a crop, you immediately go to war with Mother Nature. Some of the battles we face are out of our control, such as flooding or drought. But, some of our battles are very winnable. Weed control is one of those winnable battles. Each member of the Genesis team is trained in proper chemical choices and applications to control a wide array of noxious weeds. Genesis Custom Food Plots offers full weed control programs to help ensure the success of your food plot investment.

Soil Testing and Lime Application

We have the crews and equipment to apply the same high quality, and less expensive ag lime, to your food plots (even very small ones) that major farms are using all over the country.  Proper pH allows the forage that has been planted to maximize the use of nutrients available in the soil. You can think of proper pH as a plant having a larger straw to drink through. By allowing the nutrients in the soil to be more available to the plant, you can expect better results from your food plot. Reed’s Custom Food Plots offers lab certified soil tests, allowing us to diagnose your soil and apply the proper amounts of lime and fertilizers that may be needed.

I want to thank you for working with me to get my first food plot created and growing before the start of the fall bow season.  The planting is coming up so well and I have large numbers of deer and turkeys using the plot already.  Thank you!

You guys are the absolute best.  I tell everyone I know they are crazy if they do their own food plots.  I can’t get the results you do and the cost is so affordable.  The deer numbers on my property are insane!

The plots have drawn a lot of deer to the area. Haven’t had a shooter in range yet, but the cameras are showing a few. Thanks!

Thank you for the food plots this year. Chad has been keeping me posted when he does the planting and maintenance. I appreciate that! Good luck to all of you on completing your season and your fall hunts!
